Words by Fr. Leonard Feeney, MICM
The joys of Our Lady are simple and kind,
A Child in the Temple that’s lost she will find,
Announced by an angel who knelt on her floor,
A Child in the Temple her heart will adore.
The sorrows of Mary are set on a hill,
A Cross in the sky that is God’s holy will,
A sword through her soul that will pierce it for sure,
A wound in her heart that will always endure.
The glories of Mary she wears like a crown,
On all of creation with eyes looking down,
Assumed into Heaven for you and for me,
And God and the angels forever to see!
